Alfa-Bank Opens a Coworking Space in an HSE Dormitory
A coworking space has been created in HSE Dormitory 8 ‘Trilistnik.’ Students now have access to a unique and comfortable place for exam preparation, networking, and collaborative activities. This is the first branded coworking space in a student dormitory, named Alfa Space.
‘For the university, it is important to bridge the gap between students and industry partners. The opportunity to experience a company's culture while still studying can help students make an informed decision about future employment. The vibrant coworking space by Alfa-Bank serves as a kind of portal to the company's office within HSE University. I am confident that many great projects from our students will be born here,’ emphasised HSE Vice Rector Irina Martusevich.
The space, designed in Alfa-Bank's signature style, follows the Phygital concept, which combines digital and physical elements. The coworking area is equipped with modern infrastructure, featuring a large communal table for group work, as well as individual workstations. Interestingly, the initial design project for this space was created by HSE student Dayana Emtyl several years ago, and was later refined and successfully implemented by Alfa-Bank.
Now, any HSE student can use this space for working on projects, organising events, or simply spending time with friends, whether it's playing a pub quiz or watching a film.

‘This is the first coworking space that we have opened specifically in a student residence. We are confident that Alfa Space will become not only a comfortable place for students to work and study but also a platform for socialising and meeting friends. Alfa-Bank always strives to support education and create new opportunities for young people, investing resources in both educational projects and university infrastructure,’ said Marat Ismagulov, HR Director of Alfa-Bank.
