A former Goldman Sachs consultant and the architect of numerous Yandex projects, ICEF graduate Vahe Ovasapyan now holds the post of Head of Fintech at Ozon. In this interview with Success Builder, Vahe shares his views on how to remain an overachiever and why it’s good to take risks.

For Daria Morozova, who holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s from HSE FES, economics is the love of a lifetime. She looks forward to Mondays and going to her office at Rosbank, where she serves as the Head of Retail Business Analysis and Planning within the Financial Management Department. In this interview with Success Builder, Daria shares how she was able to manifest her dream of becoming a film director while pursuing a degree in economics, how combining work at a bank and study at HSE helped her find solutions to workplace challenges, and how she came to realise that preventing employee burnout is essential in leading a team.

The HSE Design Lab was named one of the winners in the Best Interior Solution project category of the Union of Moscow Architects for its project to renovate the interiors of the HSE University building on Maly Tryokhsvyatitelsky Pereulok. The awards were presented at the BUILD SCHOOL exhibition in Moscow, which ended on November 2.

Yevgeny Gubar, a graduate of the HSE University Business Informatics programme, joined fellow students to found KIT Consulting at the age of 20. The company has since become a highly successful brand for implementing corporate management systems. In this interview with Success Builder, Mr. Gubar explained how to remove students’ rose-colored glasses and teach them how to make business decisions, how sports help in entrepreneurship, and why industry practitioners lecture at universities.

What differences can we find in communication in different countries, where do these come from and how can we overcome any potential difficulties? On October 26, Zaryadye Concert Hall hosted an award ceremony to honour the winners of the 9th all-Russia prize 'For Loyalty to Science' awarded by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science for achievements in the fields of science journalism, education, and science communication. This year, two of HSE's projects were awarded.

The regional programme of the VI Heritage Youth Forum, co-organised by HSE University, has opened at Durasov House. The goal of the educational project by the Moscow Department of Cultural Heritage is to engage undergraduates, graduate students, and young professionals in work to preserve and integrate cultural monuments into the modern urban space.

On October 8, 2023, the award ceremony of the LAMP international impact film festival took place in Perm. In the ‘Social video advertising’ category, the jury recognized ‘Remove the stigma of HIV’ (directed by Maria Koneva, produced by Vadim Dolgikh) as the best video about discriminated people with HIV. Two other videos from the project – ‘Still Life’ (directed by Boris Chertkov, produced by Eleonora Klementyeva) about foodsharing and ‘Dobrovorot’ (directed by Maria Koneva, produced by Vadim Dolgikh) about secondhand clothing consumption – were also winners at the festival.
