How do I find my way between numerous HSE campuses? How will I survive if I don’t speak any Russian? What is a polite way of addressing my professors? These are only a few of the questions international students have when they come to study at HSE University. At the beginning of the new academic year, HSE University is running a series of Orientation Sessions for new international students to address these questions and help them settle into their life in Moscow.

On September 9th, the Zaryadye Park Media Center and Underground Museum opened an exhibition of graduates from Moscow art universities ‘GRADUATION'22’. Graduates of HSE Art and Design School are taking part in the event. The grand opening of the exhibition was timed to coincide with the park’s first anniversary.

TASS has held a press conference devoted to the results of the admissions campaigns of three leading Russian universities: MGIMO, HSE University, and Bauman University. Together with other graduates of the university, they created a project to provide supplementary education for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The IT industry is rapidly developing and incorporating new professions. Zoya Mazunina and Arina Mosyagina, linguists with Seldon and graduates of the HSE University Fundamental and Applied Linguistics programme, met with university applicants to talk about the computer linguist profession, issues of automatic language processing, and how linguists use the knowledge they gain at HSE University.
HSE University-Perm Students to Prepare Recommendations on Improving Uralchem Business Processes
Students of the Bachelor’s in Business Administration are working on a project to improve the efficiency of laboratory work at Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers (VMF). In their six months of working with the company, they have conducted a full study of analytical control schedules, identified the most labour-intensive processes and types of laboratory analysis, and taken part in a poster session in July.

Record Number of Prospective Students Apply to HSE University
HSE University Rector Nikita Anisimov summed up the interim results of the admission campaign for undergraduate programmes in 2022. According to data announced at the meeting of the HSE Admissions Committee, 26,455 prospective students applied to programmes across all university campuses. This is almost 1% more than last year, when 26,257 people applied to HSE University.
HSE Faculty of Computer Science Celebrates its First Graduates of the Data Science and Business Analytics Programme
At the beginning of July, the Data Science and Business Analytics programme at the HSE Faculty of Computer Science held its first graduation ceremony. Most graduates have already found jobs in various fields—Data Science, development, product management, systems analysis, and so on. Many of the bachelors plan to continue their studies at the best international and Russian universities, but they are not going to say goodbye. ‘We have been and will always be one big team,’ they say.
