The first students of the double-degree programme held by the HSE Perm and the University of Essex have completed the U.K. based part of their course.

Most law students develop a negative perception of their own profession while at law school. Socializing with A-grade classmates can improve students’ academic performance. However, students tend to socialise with A-graders only to get help, while they prefer to make friends with those whose academic performance is similar to their own. This December, Moscow universities are participating in ‘Recycle!’, a campaign promoting natural resource conservation and waste recycling. Members of Green HSE, a student group, organized a waste paper drive at the university on December 6-7.

On December 6, the Academic Council of the Higher School of Economics approved the HSE Statement of Values, which represents the university’s mission and its most important principles of work and study.

The HSE team in sport programming has taken part  in the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest NEERC and reached the final. Following a fierce battle in the semifinal, the HSE students came seventh out of the 250 teams which entered the contest.

On December 4th the Artplay Centre of Design held the 10^th ‘Iron Egg’ prize award ceremony for HSE students.

On November 18, the HSE International Summer School ‘Baltic Practice’ held a presentation about the results of the 13^th School and announced the theme for next year’s School.
