From January 27 – February 5, 2014, the HSE Winter Schools for prospective master’s students are once again taking place in the Moscow region.

Socializing with A-grade classmates can improve students’ academic performance. However, students tend to socialise with A-graders only to get help, while they prefer to make friends with those whose academic performance is similar to their own. Eco HSE

This December, Moscow universities are participating in ‘Recycle!’, a campaign promoting natural resource conservation and waste recycling. Members of Green HSE, a student group, organized a waste paper drive at the university on December 6-7.

Academic Council Approved HSE Statement of Values

On December 6, the Academic Council of the Higher School of Economics approved the HSE Statement of Values, which represents the university’s mission and its most important principles of work and study.

HSE Student Team Reaches Final of the World Championship in Programming

The HSE team in sport programming has taken part  in the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest NEERC and reached the final. Following a fierce battle in the semifinal, the HSE students came seventh out of the 250 teams which entered the contest.

PayPal Awards $100,000 Battle Hack Prize to Team Moscow for Donate Now App

PayPal, the service  that allows people to send payments without sharing financial information, announced the $100,000 grand-prize winner of its Battle Hack Series, a global hackathon competition. The two-day Battle Hack World Finals took place at the PayPal Headquarters in San Jose and hosted 10 teams of developers from across the globe.
