Cooperation with Chinese partners in all spheres of the economy is reaching a new qualitative level. At the same time, Russian entrepreneurs often lack knowledge about the specifics of doing business with China. Ways to solve this problem and strengthen the bilateral partnership were discussed at the ‘Russia—China: Business in a Multipolar World’ forum held at HSE University.
HSE University and EEC Launch Third EAEU Research Exchange
The exchange will take place from September 18 to October 18, 2023, with the participation of ten experts from EAEU member states. The purpose of the exchange is to strengthen soft skills, as well as to enable experts and professionals to acquire systemic knowledge of the development features of the economic, institutional and strategic aspects of Eurasian integration.The third EAEU Research Exchange is organised by the HSE University Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs in partnership with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).

HSE University Signs Exchange and Cooperation Agreements at International Partners’ Week
From September 25–29, HSE University hosted International Partners’ Week, which was attended by representatives from 23 countries. As part of the event, a series of cooperation and exchange agreements was signed with universities and organisations from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Ghana, China, and Japan.
Faculty of Economic Sciences Welcomes New Partner Universities from Ghana
The HSE University Faculty of Economic Sciences played an active role in International Partners’ Week, which has just finished. The event was attended by representatives of 23 countries, including the faculty’s new partners: the University of Cape Coast and the University of Ghana. One reason for the Ghanaian representatives’ visit was to sign memoranda of understanding with HSE University. The agreements will foster academic and cultural cooperation between the universities and establish academic exchanges.
At the Forefront of Progress: Universities as a Key Element in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals
The implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals can provide a breakthrough in creating a better future for younger generations, and universities are at the forefront of this process. Representatives of world universities discussed how to train future decision-making leaders in the concepts of sustainable development and make education more practice-oriented at the session ‘At the Frontier of Progress: Universities as a Key Element in Achieving SDGs’ in the framework of International Partners’ Week at HSE University.
Russian Government and HSE University to Help with Digitalisation of African Countries
The Russian-African Competence Transfer Programme in the Field of Public Administration Digitalisation in African Countries, which is being implemented by HSE University's Centre for African Studies, will be partially state-financed. The subsidy will be provided by the Russian government in accordance with the corresponding order signed on September 21.

HSE University Students Research Dangerous Natural Processes in Mountains
The Third Caucasus Summer School was recently held in the city of Ozurgeti (Georgia). It brought together two dozen students from different countries: the United Kingdom, Iran, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Russia. Their main task was to analyse dangerous natural processes in the mountains and determine their impact on the development of local tourism.
