International Students Reflect on Their Studies at HSE Moscow
HSE is a truly international university - every year it attracts students from all over the world who come to Russia on exchange or enrol in English-taught graduate or undergraduate programmes. HSE News Service has talked to some of HSE’s full degree international students about their decision to apply to HSE and their experience living and studying in Moscow.

Fab Lab Founder from Latin America Shares His Expertise with HSE Students
Benito Juarez, the founder of the first Fab Lab in South America and the Latin America Fab Lab Network, has come to HSE University for the 2018 autumn semester as an invited lecturer on Master’s Programme in Prototyping Future Cities. He is delivering a course in Impact Analysis for first-year students and leading the City Project module, a practical component of the Master’s programme. Mr Juarez has talked to HSE News Service about fab lab projects, creative cities of the future, and the courses he is teaching at HSE.

Academic Council Approves Tuition Fees for HSE Programmes
The HSE Academic Council has approved tuition fees for undergraduate and graduate programmes for incoming students in 2019.
HSE's Advent Calendar
An advent calendar with gifts is usually seen as a source of entertainment for children, but away with conventions. Everyone loves to receive presents, but HSE loves to give them. Each day between December 1st and 24th, the windows of a virtual calendar will display links to some of HSE’s most interesting courses, lectures, and events set to take place soon, as well as recordings from past events. The result will be 24 presents for absolutely everyone to enjoy.

Master’s Programme in Mathematics Signs Double Degree Agreement with University of Passau
On November 5, educational partnership between the Master’s programme in Mathematics offered by HSE Nizhny Novgorod and the University of Passau, Germany, was finalized. Upon graduation from the joint programme, students will receive a Master’s degree in Mathematics from HSE and a Master of Science in Computational Mathematics degree from the German university.

HSE Master’s Student Receives Grant for Developing Arctic Transport Platform Project
This project involves creating a prototype of a universal transport platform ‘SuperArctic+”, based on the results of studying existing and emerging technologies. The platform will be able to move on water, under water, on ice and on the ground.

International Students Invited to Apply to HSE
International admissions for HSE’s Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes are now open. This year, HSE is inviting applications for 52 Bachelor’s and 166 Master’s programmes across its four campuses. A number of programmes are taught in English and offer double-degree opportunities. International students can apply online. Early applications may be eligible for scholarships and tuition fee waivers.
Shukhov Lab Holds Poster Contest for Master's Programme 'Prototyping Future Cities'
The International Laboratory for Experimental Urban Design Shukhov Lab is launching a poster contest for the Master's programme 'Prototyping Future Cities'. If you have a desire to test your creativity, then submit your proposal. The winner will collaborate with Shukhov Lab for the further development of the Master's programme identity under a services contract.

International students have been enrolled in HSE undergraduate and graduate programmes this academic year. About 800 people will study on Russian government scholarships while the rest will pay tuition fees. Compared to last year, the number of international students among first-year fee-paying students has increased by about 80%.

The project ‘Hydromatter’ by Anna Budnikova and Galina Vasilchenko, second-year students of the Master's programme ‘Prototyping future cities’, took the third place in the nomination ‘Best project in eco-innovation’ at the open contest ‘Leaders of climate development.
