HSE Opens Joint Department with SAS
The joint department with SAS at the HSE Faculty of Computer Science aims to support educational programmes in data analysis and enrich teaching and learning with business expertise. The Higher School of Economics is the first Russian university to have founded a joint department with SAS.
Nine New Research Labs to Appear at HSE
On June 1, the HSE Academic Council approved a list of new research laboratories at the University. Their respective research agendas cover various fields, from transcendent philosophy and international law to bioinformatics and visual perception and attention modeling. HSE and Samsung Electronics have signed an agreement to jointly implement the ‘IoT Samsung Academy’ programme. As part of this agreement, MIEM will start teaching specialists in the Internet of Things (IoT) from September 2018.
HSE Creates Department of Financial Market Infrastructure with the Support of Moscow Exchange
HSE and Moscow Exchange are founding a joint Department of Financial Market Infrastructure at the Faculty of Economic Sciences. It will bring together HSE lecturers and Moscow Exchange staff. Students will be offered new courses and will also have the opportunity to participate in project work and undertake internships at the Exchange.
Centre for Technology Transfer to Be Established at HSE
The Russian government has approved a merger between German corporation, Bayer, and American producer of herbicides and genetically modified seeds, Monsanto. The main requirement for approval was that the advanced agricultural technologies be transferred by the corporation. A special centre established at HSE will coordinate the transfer.
HSE Signs a Memorandum of Cooperation with Thomson Reuters
The main objectives of the newly-signed agreement include the development of scientific cooperation between Thomson Reuters and HSE, the exchange of experience and information in the field of law and the improvement of the legal education process.
